Partnership in general
The Church District Südtondern and the Konde Diocese have been linked in partnership in many different ways since the middle of the Nineteen Eighties. At a special ceremony in 1992, a contract was made between the two partners, which included among other things the celebration of joint services, visits to each other, the exchange of information, support for each other and regular consultations.
The partnership is organised and coordinated on behalf of the Südtondern Church District by the Tanzania -Committee of the Church District Council, consisting of 12 members. The areas of partnership work include the Iwambi-orphanage, Matema Lutheran Center, children and youth work, Fair Trade, the Trumpet Ministry and women’s work. Every year we celebrate Partnership Sunday in May and a special Women’s Day.
